Nothing says game day like Creamy Buffalo Ranch Shredded Chicken. But who wants to spend half of the game in the kitchen cooking? Once again, the slow cooker saves the day cutting your kitchen time in half. When you’re planning to shred chicken the best method of cooking is in the slow cooker. It cooks perfectly for easy shredding. I should also mention how incredibly easy it is to make this buffalo ranch chicken. It only requires just a couple of minutes to prep and a handful of ingredients making it easy not only on your schedule but on your budget as well.

Before you go thinking this recipe isn’t for you because you aren’t into sports, think about your busiest day. Maybe you have a dance recital to attend or you’re rushing to a boy scout meeting. With this recipe, there’s spice from the wing sauce and creamy comfort from the ranch and cream cheese, and it easy to make. Everyone’s a winner! In fact, I think it’s safe to say that buffalo ranch shredded chicken is not just a family favorite, but a crowd-pleaser.

Directions:

  1. Place all three chicken breast and chicken broth in your crockpot.
  2. Cook on high for 1.5 hours.
  3. Remove one cup of chicken broth, and shred chicken with a hand mixer.
  4. Once the chicken is shredded, add cream cheese, ranch, and wing sauce.
  5. Cook on low for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
  6. Mix well and spoon on to buns.
  7. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese, and place the sandwich in the microwave for 15 seconds to melt the cheese.
  8. Serve and enjoy!

How do you store the leftover chicken?

If you’re planning on eating this dish again within the next 48 hours, store it in your fridge is a sealed container for later. If you’re not, then you can add it to a freezer-proof container and store it for later. Just make certain that you write the date and title of what it is so that you know what you’re unthawing when it comes time to eat.

Can you make an unspicy version of this dish?

Absolutely. If you’re wanting to make a version that isn’t spicy, just leave out the hot sauce of the dish. That way, it can take on a different taste and flavor for those who don’t want it to have that spicy kick.

What if I don’t have chicken broth for this recipe?

You can use vegetable broth or water as well. Just know that using the water will mean that you won’t have as much flavor for the chicken. You’re just wanting to add something liquid to make certain that the chicken doesn’t dry out during the cooking process.
