I’m all about Taco Tuesday’s. And if I can make it into Monday, Wednesday and Thursday as well – why not? Who says that tacos just have to be for one day of the week?
And since my slow cooker can literally help me make those tacos with ease, I never have to worry about missing out on taco night again. These chicken tacos are simple, delicious and crazy good to eat!
You just might fall in love with using your slow cooker to make tacos from here on out!
Slow Cooker Cilantro Lime Chicken Tacos
All you need are a few simple ingredients and you’ll be chowing down on delicious tacos in no time at all.
Ingredients to make chicken tacos:
- 1.5 lb boneless chicken breast
- 1 lime (juice)
- 2 tbsp cilantro
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 cup water
- tortillas
How to make cilantro lime chicken tacos:
- Spray slow cooker with nonstick spray.
- Add chicken, chili powder, cilantro, and lime juice.
- Then add salsa and water.
- Cover and cook on high 2.5 hours or low 4 to 5 hours.
- Once cooked, shred chicken.
- Assemble taco with toppings of choice!
It’s seriously as simple as that! Who knew that making tacos could be as simple as adding them to your slow cooker?!
And don’t forget to add on the toppings. There are so many other choices that you can add on to really bring out the flavor as well. Extra cheese, jalapeno, and onions are just a few of them! Whatever your taste buds are craving, you should add to make it your own.
