Frequently Asked Questions About This Chicken Dip Recipe
Before I share my super yummy chicken enchilada dip recipe, here are a few questions I have gotten from our readers that I wanted to share:
How Can I Make This Chicken Dip Spicy?
Depending on my mood, I sometimes like to add a swift kick of spiciness to this party dip to really jazz things up. I usually take a jalapeno and mince it up in small pieces and mix it in with the cream cheese. It just really depends on how spicy you want it.
If you are looking for a milder spicy flavor take the seeds out. Now, if you really want that kick in the back of your throat, I would definitely recommend leaving a few of those seeds in there.
If you don’t want any spice at all, you can completely omit the jalapeno all together. It will still taste delicious!
Can I Make This Chicken Enchilada Dip Healthier?
To lighten up this recipe, you can swap out the full-fat cream cheese for a reduced-fat or “light” version. You can also use low-fat cheese if you are trying to cut back on some of the calories!
Do I Have To Use Green Enchilada Sauce?
Nope! If you prefer red enchilada sauce over the green, go ahead and make the swap!

How To Make Chicken Enchilada Dip In The Crockpot
This recipe is actually really easy to make because all you basically need to do is dump everything in the slow cooker and walk away!
Into your crockpot, add the shredded chicken, enchilada sauce, pepper jack, cream cheese, and taco seasoning.
Cover and cook on HIGH for 1 hour.
Give the party dip a good stir until everything is mixed together and creamy. Cover it once more and cook everything for an additional 10 minutes.
Scoop everything in a serving bowl and garnish it with a couple of diced jalapenos you might have leftover.
What To Serve With This Chicken Enchilada Dip
When trying to decide what to serve with this chicken dip, I tried a whole bunch of different sides and I definitely have some favorites.
You, of course, can never go wrong with tortilla chips. Between the crunch of the chips and a hefty scoop of warm, creamy enchilada dip- it’s the perfect bite!
If tortilla chips aren’t your first choice, make some of this homemade bread in the crockpot. All you need is two ingredients to make a whole loaf of bread (no, you didn’t read that wrong!). Slice the bread into bite-size pieces and stick it in the oven for a few minutes to toast them up and serve it alongside the chicken dip.
Need some low carb options? I got you covered! If you are completely avoiding whole grains and white carbs, try cutting up some veggies to serve on a plate with the chicken enchilada dip. My favorites were celery, carrots, broccoli, and radishes!
